ACTIVITY PLAN FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2007
The project to inherit and further develop the mission of EXPO 2005 AICHI, JAPAN, succeeded from Japan Association for the 2005 World Expositions

1. The institute has undertaken the Aichi EXPO 2005-related project since April 2007 to inherit and further develop the mission of EXPO 2005 AICHI, JAPAN, replacing Japan Association for the 2005 World Expositions. The project consists of three pillars as follows:

<Milestone Project>
  • Management and circulation of official documents and other information services.
  • Intellectual properties (IP) management of characters and logos. Management and rental services for character costumes.
  • Launch of related products and royalty management.
  • Development of educational materials and publication of printed matters. Creation of video footage and relevant broadcasting material.

<International Events>
  • Showcases and support for future world expositions
     * EXPO Zaragoza: June 14-Sept. 14, 2008
     * Shanghai EXPO: May 1-Oct. 31, 2010
  • Symposiums and anniversary events to materialize the Expo 2005 Aichi’s concept, “Nature’s Wisdom.”
  • Planning and execution of the campaign to promote international expositions in collaboration with Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).

<Practical Application Services>
  • Authorization of grants and subsidies to qualified projects from the Memorial Fund
  • EXPO Eco-Money Businesses
  • Business support for Expo 2005 Aichi Volunteers Center
